Rep. Mike Gallagher (R‑WI) announced on Friday that he is resigning from Congress next month, which further shrinks the majority that Republicans have in the House.
The news comes after Gallagher announced last month that he would not seek re-election after he cast a crucial vote against impeaching Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
