Tim Scott knocks Democrats over election interference amid Trump civil fraud trial

Sen. Tim Scott (R‑SC) spoke out against the New York appeals court deci­sion on Mon­day that saw for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump‘s civ­il fraud judge­ment reduced to $175 mil­lion.
The deci­sion grant­ed the for­mer pres­i­dent a 10-day delay for him to pay his bond, which had pre­vi­ous­ly been worth $464 mil­lion. In react­ing to this new rul­ing, Scott argued that it was “dis­gust­ing” that a per­son would have to pay $175 mil­lion, even though “there’s no vic­tim because there was no crime.”
“What is unbe­liev­able is that we talk about elec­tion inter­fer­ence all the time, espe­cial­ly on the Left,” Scott said on Fox News’s The Sto­ry with Martha McCal­lum. “This is as close to elec­tion inter­fer­ence as I can imag­ine.
