Sen. Tim Scott (R‑SC) spoke out against the New York appeals court decision on Monday that saw former President Donald Trump‘s civil fraud judgement reduced to $175 million.
The decision granted the former president a 10-day delay for him to pay his bond, which had previously been worth $464 million. In reacting to this new ruling, Scott argued that it was “disgusting” that a person would have to pay $175 million, even though “there’s no victim because there was no crime.”
“What is unbelievable is that we talk about election interference all the time, especially on the Left,” Scott said on Fox News’s The Story with Martha McCallum. “This is as close to election interference as I can imagine.
