Several Republicans have called out President Joe Biden for his proclamation of Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31 — the same day as Easter this year.
The proclamation, released by the White House on Friday, called on citizens to “join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation” on the holiest day of the year for Christians.
“Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans:” Biden said in his proclamation. “You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back.”
