White House hosts star-studded state dinner including Clintons, Bezos, and finance giants

The White House host­ed its glitzy state din­ner for the Japan­ese prime min­is­ter on Wednes­day night, and some star-stud­ded names are on the guest list.
For­mer Pres­i­dent Bill Clin­ton, for­mer Sec­re­tary of State Hillary Clin­ton, Ama­zon founder Jeff Bezos, Apple CEO Tim Cook, movie star Robert De Niro, and JPMor­gan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon were just some of the guests at the din­ner.

State din­ners are some of the strongest diplo­mat­ic tools the White House can use to hon­or for­eign lead­ers. The event fea­tur­ing Japan­ese Prime Min­is­ter Fumio Kishi­da marks the first time a Japan­ese leader has been to the Unit­ed States in nine years.
