Bill Barr endorses Trump despite past criticism

For­mer Attor­ney Gen­er­al Bill Barr has giv­en his endorse­ment to for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump in the 2024 elec­tion, stress­ing the need for Repub­li­cans to win in Novem­ber.
Barr, who up until recent­ly had been crit­i­cal of the pre­sump­tive Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial nom­i­nee, has now described the elec­tion as a “bina­ry choice” between Trump and Pres­i­dent Joe Biden.
“I sup­port Pres­i­dent Trump, and one of the rea­sons is because I think many of our crit­i­cal prob­lems, includ­ing the reg­u­la­tion, crime, restor­ing law and order, restor­ing con­trol over our bor­ders, rebuild­ing our defense in this increas­ing­ly dan­ger­ous world, stand­ing by our allies,” Barr said on Fox Business’s Kud­low. “I trust Pres­i­dent Trump to do that much more than Pres­i­dent Biden.”

Trump has acknowl­edged Barr’s endorse­ment, jok­ing that the for­mer attor­ney gen­er­al gave it even though Trump had once called him “Weak, Slow Mov­ing, Lethar­gic, Gut­less, and Lazy.” Trump …
