Former Trump staffer Cassidy Hutchinson would ‘absolutely consider’ voting for Biden in 2024

Former Trump staffer Cassidy Hutchinson would ‘absolutely consider’ voting for Biden in 2024

Former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson said she would “absolutely consider” voting for President Joe Biden in 2024.
In an appearance on CNN, the Trump staffer-turned-vocal critic took her stance a step further by floating the possibility of voting for Biden in November when asked by host Kaitlan Collins.

“I would absolutely consider voting for President Biden,” Hutchinson said. “I would encourage, I would never tell Americans how to vote, but I do know there are a lot of Americans who currently are on the fence about who to vote for. And these are active conversations that we need to engage in over the next six, seven months.”

“But I would encourage people on that fence to really do a deep dive and look at the damage that Donald Trump has done to our democracy and what he would continue to do in a potential second Trump term and to really weigh that when they’re considering who to vote for,” she added.
Hutchinson has made a post-White House career out of her criticism of Trump but hasn’t given much input on Biden besides saying he won the election in 2020. Her new stance could position her as an active ally of Democrats.
“Policy is important for who we elect to the Oval Office. But what I argue, especially in this next election cycle, is the character of the individual matters far more than any policy that they may or may not implement,” she said earlier in the interview. “Donald Trump’s character has been evident for a very long time, but he’s had a team of people around him who have really isolated him in this false identity of a strong man.”

Hutchinson emerged as one of the most high-profile witnesses against Trump during the Jan. 6 committee hearings. Her outspoken testimony outraged the former president’s supporters and put her in line for a book deal.
