Oba­ma giv­ing Biden a jolt with huge fundrais­er expect­ed in Cal­i­for­nia

Hol­ly­wood stars and for­mer Pres­i­dent Barack Oba­ma are expect­ed to help enrich Pres­i­dent Joe Biden’s cam­paign cof­fers at a Los Ange­les fundrais­er in June.
The event looks to extend Biden’s fundrais­ing advan­tage over for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, and mir­rors a recent New York City event that saw Oba­ma and for­mer Pres­i­dent Bill Clin­ton show up.
The New York event raised a record $26 mil­lion for the Biden cam­paign, and a Los Ange­les event could chal­lenge that with sev­er­al high-pro­file celebri­ties on dis­play, such as George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Obama’s repeat atten­dance at a Biden fundrais­er is sure to boost the event as well, giv­en his pop­u­lar­i­ty with vot­ers.
