Trump greeted with ‘USA’ chants during visit to New York construction site

For­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump vis­it­ed a con­struc­tion site on Thurs­day morn­ing in New York, where he is deal­ing with his hush mon­ey tri­al.
Trump was greet­ed by chants cheer­ing him on dur­ing his vis­it as he faces mul­ti­ple legal bat­tles while cam­paign­ing for the White House in the 2024 pres­i­den­tial elec­tion. The for­mer pres­i­dent and pre­sump­tive Repub­li­can Par­ty nom­i­nee also answered a few ques­tions from the press, with Trump indi­cat­ing that the con­struc­tion work­ers with whom he was meet­ing had been Democ­rats but are now Repub­li­cans.
“There’s not a Demo­c­rat in there,” Trump told a reporter from Fox News. “These are peo­ple. Look at that build­ing. Look what we can do. We’ve built a lot of great build­ings in this city with these peo­ple, and they’ve giv­en me great sup­port. They’re real­ly amaz­ing.”
