Voters on edge over China and welcome crackdown measures: Poll

EXCLUSIVE — Vot­ers are becom­ing increas­ing­ly con­cerned about nation­al secu­ri­ty risks posed by Chi­na, includ­ing regard­ing food secu­ri­ty, and are wel­com­ing of stricter, pro­tec­tion­ist mea­sures in response, except when it comes to Tik­Tok, accord­ing to a new nation­al poll.
The poll, con­duct­ed by the Tyson Group and paid for by con­ser­v­a­tive non­prof­it orga­ni­za­tion Build­ing America’s Future, found for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump was lead­ing Pres­i­dent Joe Biden 39% to 36% before November’s gen­er­al elec­tion, with inde­pen­dent can­di­date Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receiv­ing anoth­er 11% of the vote.
But the poll also found a major­i­ty of like­ly gen­er­al elec­tion vot­ers sup­port­ed leg­is­la­tion intro­duc­ing tougher mea­sures on Chi­na.
Of the approx­i­mate­ly 1,000 peo­ple polled, the most pop­u­lar pro­pos­als were leg­is­la­tion that “would give Chi­na less con­trol over our food sup­ply by pro­tect­ing a key agri­cul­ture and farm­ing ingre­di­ent made in Amer­i­ca” and leg­is­la­tion t …
