Eric Trump Warns Of Escalating ‘Lawfare’ If Supreme Court Rules Against Immunity

On Sun­day, Eric Trump offered a vision of the future in which the White House is par­a­lyzed by legal bat­tles if the Supreme Court rules against his father, for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, in a debate over immu­ni­ty.
Fox News host Maria Bar­tiro­mo asked Eric Trump, exec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent of Trump Orga­ni­za­tion Inc., for his take­away from last week’s oral argu­ments, dur­ing which the high court con­sid­ered elder Trump’s claim that his offi­cial acts should be immune from fed­er­al pros­e­cu­tion.
“Well, God help us if they get it wrong. That’s what I take away. I know the sys­tem very, very well,” Eric Trump said dur­ing the inter­view on “Sun­day Morn­ing Futures.”
He argued the “only peo­ple who are going to ben­e­fit are big law firms in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., because they are going to go after every sin­gle pres­i­dent” and sug­gest­ed they would start with for­mer Pres­i­dent Barack Oba­ma over the Oper­a­tion Fast and Furi­ous con­tro­ver­sy and the IRS going after con­ser­v­a­tives.
