The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford contended Wednesday that President Joe Biden has not attempted to calm the disorder happening across the United States, specifically on college campuses.
As massive protests in support of Palestinians have taken place, some, such as those at Columbia University, have turned violent. Bedford, the investigations editor for the Washington Examiner, argued that Biden’s relative indifference regarding the ensuing unrest has allowed former President Donald Trump, the presumptive presidential nominee for the Republican Party, to have “a monopoly” on the topic.
“Joe Biden is not trying to demonstrate that he has control of the situation,” Bedford said on Fox News’s Your World with Neil Cavuto. “Right now, it seems like his primary concern is not alienating the very small faction of the Democratic Party that just happens to be concentrated in some of these swing states that would be upset with him if he were perceived as cracking down on these protesters.”
