Melis­sa McCarthy Reacts To Back­lash Against Bar­bra Streisand Over ‘Ozem­pic’ Com­ment

Melis­sa McCarthy react­ed to the back­lash against Bar­bra Streisand after the singer asked McCarthy if she was tak­ing “Ozem­pic” to lose weight in a since-delet­ed Insta­gram post.
In a fun video post­ed on Insta­gram, the 53-year-old actress broke her silence about Streisand’s com­ment while appear­ing to read a copy of “Bar­bra: Cel­e­brat­ing an Icon.” She cap­tioned the post, “Bar­bra Streisand fan club mem­bers only!!!”
“The take­away, Bar­bra Streisand knows I exist,” McCarthy told her fol­low­ers in the clip. “She reached out to me and she thought I looked good!”
“I win the day,” she added, while appear­ing to go back to read­ing the Streisand book.

The “Brides­maids” star’s com­ments came after Streisand was slammed for ask­ing McCarthy if she had joined the celebri­ty fad in tak­ing “Ozem­pic” for weight loss, as pre­vi­ous­ly report­ed.
In the com­ments sec­tion under­neath a pic­ture the “Ghost­busters” star post­ed of her­self, the 82-year-old singer wrote, “Give [Shankman] my regards, did you take Ozem­pic?”
