Pro-Palestinian protesters continued to clash with law enforcement officials overnight in various incidents throughout the country.
The situation at UCLA remained tense with protesters and police officers on Wednesday night. There were multiple reports of the Los Angeles Police Department breaching the pro-Palestinian encampment early Thursday morning in an attempt to clear the protesters. It did not work.
Later, protesters appeared to push back the LAPD and force them to retreat, according to reports. Then, shortly before 3 a.m. PST, the California Highway Patrol arrived wearing riot gear and reportedly breached the protesters’ blockade.
