Police raid of Columbia under review after officer accidentally fired weapon

An inci­dent dur­ing the New York Police Department’s raid at Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty is under review after an offi­cer acci­den­tal­ly fired his weapon.
The shot was fired when police entered Hamil­ton Hall, which had been tak­en over by pro-Pales­tin­ian pro­test­ers. Man­hat­tan Dis­trict Attor­ney Alvin Bragg’s office spokesman Doug Cohen con­firmed to the City in a state­ment that the Police Account­abil­i­ty Unit is inves­ti­gat­ing the inci­dent.

It added that no one was hurt by the shot and that no stu­dents were around when it was fired.
