Fetterman dismisses polling regarding voters favoring Trump on economy

Sen. John Fet­ter­man (D‑PA) stat­ed he is not too con­cerned about for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump win­ning the state of Penn­syl­va­nia in Novem­ber, though he admit­ted that the race would be “very close.”
While appear­ing on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sun­day, the Penn­syl­va­nia sen­a­tor was asked about recent polling data on the upcom­ing pres­i­den­tial elec­tion. The data show that Penn­syl­va­nia vot­ers believe that a sec­ond Trump pres­i­den­cy would leave them bet­ter off finan­cial­ly than a sec­ond Biden term. The data also sug­gest­ed that vot­ers believe Trump would do a bet­ter job than Biden on gas and oil explo­ration, includ­ing frack­ing.
“I’m not wor­ried about that, and I want to be very clear: Joe Biden beat Trump in Penn­syl­va­nia, and he’s going to do that again,” Fet­ter­man said about the polling data. “But it’s going to be very close.
