Former Georgia Republican lieutenant governor backs Biden: ‘I am voting for a decent person’

For­mer Geor­gia Repub­li­can Lt. Gov. Geoff Dun­can shared that he would be vot­ing for Pres­i­dent Joe Biden come Novem­ber.
In an op-ed pub­lished in the Atlanta Jour­nal-Con­sti­tu­tion, Dun­can, who tes­ti­fied against Trump in his elec­tion inter­fer­ence case in Geor­gia, expressed his dis­ap­point­ment watch­ing “an increas­ing num­ber of Repub­li­cans fall in line behind for­mer pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump.” Dun­can was the lieu­tenant gov­er­nor dur­ing the 2020 elec­tion when Trump was alleged­ly attempt­ing to over­turn the elec­tion results in Geor­gia. 
Dun­can crit­i­cized the deci­sion of U.S. Sen­ate Minor­i­ty Leader Mitch McConnell (R‑KY), Gov. Chris Sununu (R‑NH), and for­mer U.S. Attor­ney Gen­er­al Bill Barr for stand­ing behind the “Repub­li­can tick­et.”

“This Novem­ber, I am vot­ing for a decent per­son I dis­agree with on pol­i­cy over a crim­i­nal defen­dant with­out a moral com­pass,” Dun­can wrote.
