Pro-Pales­tin­ian pro­test­ers break through bar­ri­ers try­ing to reach star-stud­ded Met Gala in New York City

Pro-Pales­tin­ian pro­test­ers have bro­ken down bar­ri­cades in attempts to reach the Met Gala, an annu­al event in New York City host­ed at the Met­ro­pol­i­tan Muse­um of Art.
The “City­wide Day of Rage for Gaza” was sched­uled to begin at Hunter Col­lege before mov­ing north toward the Met. The Met Gala is host­ed each year on the first Mon­day of May, and A‑list celebri­ties wear extrav­a­gant out­fits as a fundrais­er for the Met’s Cos­tume Insti­tute.
