Here’s what Bar­ron Trump could do as Flori­da del­e­gate at RNC

Bar­ron Trump, for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s only child with Mela­nia Trump, has been select­ed as a Flori­da del­e­gate for the Repub­li­can Nation­al Con­ven­tion.
He’ll be one of 41 at-large del­e­gates for Flori­da, joined by half sib­lings Eric Trump, Don­ald Trump Jr., and Tiffany Trump. The posi­tion serves as Barron’s polit­i­cal debut, and RNC del­e­gates have an impor­tant job.
Bar­ron is one of 2,429 del­e­gates who will vote for the Repub­li­can nom­i­nee at the 2024 RNC in Mil­wau­kee, Wis­con­sin. Don­ald Trump has already clinched the nom­i­na­tion, and accord­ing to a Flori­da law that dic­tates del­e­gates fol­low the pri­ma­ry results — Trump won all del­e­gates in Flori­da in the pri­ma­ry — Bar­ron will have to vote for his father.
In some states, that would not be the case. While Repub­li­can Par­ty rules dic­tate pledged elec­tors vote for the can­di­date that ful­filled the cri­te­ria for them to be assigned to a can­di­date, it is not ille­gal to vote for some­one else in some states. 
While Bar­ron has a famil­ial advan­tage, most del­e­gates are par­ty work­ers or for­mer politi­cians them­selves. Bar­ron and his family’s posi­tion as del­e­gates appears unique in the RNC’s his­to­ry. Dona …
