Tim Scott says Trump’s vice presidential pick will be about issues voters face

Sen. Tim Scott (R‑SC) stat­ed that who­ev­er for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump picks for his vice pres­i­dent will be based on the top­ics that vot­ers face every day.
Trump, the pre­sump­tive pres­i­den­tial nom­i­nee of the Repub­li­can Par­ty, has yet to announce who he will pick to join his 2024 tick­et, though he has sug­gest­ed in inter­views that he will be mak­ing a deci­sion “clos­er to Wis­con­sin time,” refer­ring to the Repub­li­can Nation­al Con­ven­tion Mil­wau­kee this July. Scott is among the can­di­dates Trump is rumored to be con­sid­er­ing for his vice pres­i­den­tial bid, and was asked about what he could bring to the table as if cho­sen for the role.
“Well, I don’t think it’s about the who, it’s about the what,” Scott said on Fox News’s Sun­day Morn­ing Futures with Maria Bar­tiro­mo. “It’s about the issues that the Amer­i­can peo­ple face.
