MTG claims FBI and DOJ were going to assas­si­nate Trump

Rep. Mar­jorie Tay­lor Greene (R‑GA) claimed the FBI and Jus­tice Depart­ment were plan­ning to assas­si­nate for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump after details about their search on Mar-a-Lago were made pub­lic.
In a post on X, the con­gress­woman said, “The Biden DOJ and FBI were plan­ning to assas­si­nate Pres Trump and gave the green light. Does every­one get it yet???!!!!”

On Tues­day, the FBI released a state­ment say­ing its lan­guage autho­riz­ing dead­ly force was stan­dard pro­to­col.
“The FBI fol­lowed stan­dard pro­to­col in this search as we do for all search war­rants, which includes a stan­dard pol­i­cy state­ment lim­it­ing the use of dead­ly force,” the agency said. “No one ordered addi­tion­al steps to be tak­en and there was no depar­ture from the norm in this mat­ter.”
After tout­ing her efforts to oust House Speak­er Mike John­son (R‑LA) for con­tin­u­ing to fund the DOJ and FBI, Greene called his deci­sion not to lis­ten to her “unfor­giv­able.”
