CNN Legal Ana­lyst Pans Trump Pros­e­cu­tion As Hush-Mon­ey Tri­al Wraps: ‘They Fell Way Short’

CNN legal ana­lyst Randy Zelin, a defense attor­ney, told CNN anchor Kate Bold­u­an that he did not believe the pros­e­cu­tion had come any­where close to meet­ing its bur­den in the hush-mon­ey tri­al against for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump.
Bold­u­an set Zelin up for the ques­tion, not­ing that in every court case, the bur­den of proof rests on the pros­e­cu­tion — and the prosecutor’s abil­i­ty to prove the case “beyond a rea­son­able doubt” to the jury.
