Manchin trolls Democ­rats with fish­ing trip pho­tos: ‘Enjoy­ing my inde­pen­dence’

Sen. Joe Manchin (I‑WV) taunt­ed his crit­ics in a social media post on Sat­ur­day, boast­ing about his lat­est fish­ing trip.
Manchin, elect­ed as a Demo­c­rat, announced on Fri­day that he switched his par­ty reg­is­tra­tion to inde­pen­dent. His Sen­ate term will end in 2025, and he has already announced he will not be run­ning again. He post­ed pho­tos of him­self hold­ing up fish along var­i­ous riv­er loca­tions in West Vir­ginia.
“Enjoy­ing my first week­end of inde­pen­dence in Wild & Won­der­ful West Vir­ginia,” Manchin cap­tioned the pho­tos.
