Woman who left Texas for abortion joins with Texas Democrats and blasts Trump

Lau­ren Miller, who made head­lines for leav­ing Texas in order to obtain an abor­tion, joined with Texas Democ­rats to urge Tex­ans to vote against Repub­li­cans in Novem­ber.
In a press call orga­nized by the Texas Demo­c­ra­t­ic Par­ty, Miller bashed for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump and Repub­li­cans, say­ing they want­ed to turn the coun­try into a “night­mare.”

“If we allow Don­ald Trump to reach the White House this Novem­ber, he will make this night­mare a real­i­ty nation­wide, he will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to appoint more extrem­ist Supreme Court jus­tices to cement this roll­back of rights for the rest of our lives,” Miller said.
The Texas res­i­dent declared that Repub­li­cans decid­ed that women seek­ing abor­tions “need to be more kil­l­able.”
“None of this would be pos­si­ble with­out Don­ald Trump,” she con­tin­ued. “He is respon­si­ble for the dev­as­tat­ing choic­es fam­i­lies like mine had to make, the hur­dles we had to jump through to save our lives. Don­ald Trump and Texas Repub­li­cans want to pun­ish women. Just last Fri­day, the all-Repub­li­can Texas Supreme Court took anoth­er step in attack­ing women’s rights in Texas, and Texas Repub­li­cans have vot­ed on a par­ty plat­form that, if enact­ed into law, could lit­er­al­ly sen­tence women like me to death for obtain­ing life-sav­ing care.”
