Date set for ‘Flagstock 2024’ honoring UNC fraternity brothers who protected US flag

The “rager” for the fraternity brothers who protected the American flag during protests at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has a scheduled date.
John Noonan explained that he and fellow organizer Susan Ralston had established Pints for Patriots to organize the party, which is now scheduled for Labor Day on Sept. 2. The new date comes about a month after Noonan’s fundraiser brought in over $515,000 to throw the party, which he started to honor the fraternity brothers at UNC for protecting the American flag from pro-Palestinian protesters on campus.
“These great young guys defended our flag and created a unifying national cultural moment,” Noonan said in a statement on Monday. “Everyone in America wanted to thank these fine young patriots. On Labor Day, we will get to do just that.”
