Near­ly Two-Thirds Of Reg­is­tered Vot­ers Sup­port Deport­ing All Ille­gal Immi­grants: Poll

Around six in ten reg­is­tered vot­ers, includ­ing one-third of Democ­rats, would favor the U.S. gov­ern­ment deport­ing all ille­gal immi­grants, accord­ing to a new poll.
The CBS News/YouGov poll pub­lished on Sun­day found that 62% of reg­is­tered vot­ers sup­port a new nation­al pro­gram to deport all ille­gal immi­grants, sim­i­lar to a plan that has been pro­posed by for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, who promised to car­ry out the “largest depor­ta­tion” oper­a­tion in Amer­i­can his­to­ry if he is re-elect­ed. A major­i­ty of those sur­veyed also sup­port giv­ing local law enforce­ment the pow­er to iden­ti­fy ille­gal immi­grants liv­ing in the U.S.
