Trump to sidestep abortion in brief remarks to Christian advocacy group

For­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump will large­ly steer clear of abor­tion in his brief remarks to a Chris­t­ian group that oppos­es the pro­ce­dure on Mon­day.
In a two-minute vir­tu­al address to the Dan­bury Insti­tute, the for­mer pres­i­dent made a pass­ing ref­er­ence to defend­ing “inno­cent life” after the Biden cam­paign crit­i­cized him for speak­ing to the orga­ni­za­tion but oth­er­wise avoid­ed abor­tion, a polit­i­cal flash­point in the pres­i­den­tial race.
