Biden says debate was a ‘bad episode’ in first clip of ABC inter­view

In his first sit-down inter­view after his debate last week against for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, Pres­i­dent Joe Biden down­played his per­for­mance as a “bad episode” as Democ­rats, such as for­mer House Speak­er Nan­cy Pelosi (D‑CA), asked whether it was symp­to­matic of a con­di­tion.
“It was a bad episode. No indi­ca­tion of any seri­ous con­di­tion. I was exhaust­ed. I didn’t lis­ten to my instincts in terms of prepar­ing and — and a bad night,” Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopou­los.
Biden added he did not “think” he watched the debate after­ward.
