In his first sit-down interview after his debate last week against former President Donald Trump, President Joe Biden downplayed his performance as a “bad episode” as Democrats, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D‑CA), asked whether it was symptomatic of a condition.
“It was a bad episode. No indication of any serious condition. I was exhausted. I didn’t listen to my instincts in terms of preparing and — and a bad night,” Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
Biden added he did not “think” he watched the debate afterward.
