Gas prices: Costs soar with second straight day of increases

The cost of gas con­tin­ues to soar as the aver­age price for a gal­lon of reg­u­lar gas rose for the sec­ond straight day. The lat­est increas­es negate the min­i­mal decrease Amer­i­cans expe­ri­enced over the July 4th week­end. Prices are now less than a pen­ny cheap­er than last year at this time.
