Trump Organization ex-CFO Allen Weisselberg released from Rikers Island prison

After 100 days behind bars, for­mer Trump Orga­ni­za­tion Chief Finan­cial Offi­cer Allen Weis­sel­berg is return­ing home to his fam­i­ly.
Weis­sel­berg, who has worked for the Trump orga­ni­za­tion for near­ly 50 years, plead­ed guilty to lying under oath while giv­ing tes­ti­mo­ny in for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump’s 2023 civ­il fraud case, in which Trump was accused of exag­ger­at­ing his wealth in an effort to be approved for a bank loan. 
The 76-year-old admit­ted in March that he lied about how Trump’s Man­hat­tan penthouse’s val­ue was inflat­ed on his finan­cial state­ments. Dur­ing his tes­ti­mo­ny, Weis­sel­berg lied about his role in Trump’s Fifth Avenue triplex apart­ment being list­ed as three times its actu­al size on finan­cial state­ments.
