Walz defends new Democratic line of attack to call Trump ‘weird’

Gov. Tim Walz (D‑MN) explained why he con­tin­ues to call for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump “weird,” a new line of attack that Vice Pres­i­dent Kamala Harris’s cam­paign and its sur­ro­gates have been using against the for­mer pres­i­dent.
Walz made head­lines last week after he called Trump and oth­er Repub­li­cans “weird,” short­ly after he used the phrase, oth­er Democ­rats jumped on the word, with Har­ris call­ing Trump “just plain weird” at a cam­paign event this week. 
“Lis­ten to the guy. He’s talk­ing about Han­ni­bal Lecter and shock­ing sharks and just what­ev­er crazy thing pops into his mind, and I thought we just give him way too much cred­it,” Walz said on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tap­per when asked if this line of attack was effec­tive.
