Chris Mur­phy says 2024 elec­tion shows ‘a con­trast’ between Har­ris and Trump

Sen. Chris Mur­phy (D‑CT) argued the 2024 pres­i­den­tial elec­tion, which is expect­ed to be between Vice Pres­i­dent Kamala Har­ris and for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump, will show­case “a con­trast” to vot­ers. 
Mur­phy was asked about how Harris’s cam­paign has changed her posi­tion on pre­vi­ous­ly-held views, such as no longer want­i­ng to ban frack­ing and want­i­ng addi­tion­al fund­ing for bor­der secu­ri­ty. The Con­necti­cut sen­a­tor con­tend­ed that the vice pres­i­dent “has always been for bor­der secu­ri­ty” and that this is part of the con­trast vot­ers can expect at the polls come Novem­ber.
“Today, bor­der cross­ings are low­er at the south­west bor­der than they were at the end of the Trump pres­i­den­cy,” Mur­phy said on Fox News Sun­day with Shan­non Bream. “There is a con­trast between Democ­rats, Kamala Har­ris who’s seri­ous about bor­der secu­ri­ty, and Repub­li­cans, who are not.”
