Vance says he’s ‘very con­fi­dent’ 2024 elec­tion will be fair­er than 2020

Sen. J.D. Vance (R‑OH), for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump‘s run­ning mate, expressed increased con­fi­dence that the 2024 elec­tion will be fair­er than its 2020 coun­ter­part.
“I think we’re mak­ing a lot of progress,” Vance told Fox News on Sun­day. “Geor­gia passed a manda­to­ry vot­er ID law. I think that makes Georgia’s elec­tions much more secure. I think that we’ve got some good court cas­es, some good legal changes going all across the coun­try. The [Repub­li­can Nation­al Com­mit­tee] has been more aggres­sive about this in 2024 than they have been in 2020.”
Although Vance added “there’s still a lot of work to do,” he said he is “very con­fi­dent” the 2024 elec­tion “is going to be a bet­ter elec­tion” than 2020.
