Sen. J.D. Vance (R‑OH), former President Donald Trump‘s running mate, expressed increased confidence that the 2024 election will be fairer than its 2020 counterpart.
“I think we’re making a lot of progress,” Vance told Fox News on Sunday. “Georgia passed a mandatory voter ID law. I think that makes Georgia’s elections much more secure. I think that we’ve got some good court cases, some good legal changes going all across the country. The [Republican National Committee] has been more aggressive about this in 2024 than they have been in 2020.”
Although Vance added “there’s still a lot of work to do,” he said he is “very confident” the 2024 election “is going to be a better election” than 2020.
