Biden ‘not confident’ in peaceful transfer of power if Trump loses in November

Pres­i­dent Joe Biden doesn’t believe there will be a peace­ful trans­fer of pow­er if for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump los­es the elec­tion.
In an excerpt of a CBS inter­view set to air Sun­day, reporter Robert Cos­ta asked Biden if he was con­fi­dent there would be a peace­ful trans­fer of pow­er in Jan­u­ary 2025.

“If Trump los­es, I’m not con­fi­dent at all,” Biden told Cos­ta after first mis­tak­en­ly say­ing, “If Trump wins.”
Dur­ing the first pres­i­den­tial debate in June, Trump said he would “absolute­ly” accept the results “if it’s a fair and legal and good elec­tion.”
