Once a lead­ing can­di­date, Coop­er says Walz ‘out­stand­ing run­ning mate’

(The Cen­ter Square) – Once a top can­di­date, North Car­oli­na Gov. Roy Coop­er on Tues­day laud­ed the deci­sion of Vice Pres­i­dent Kamala Har­ris in putting Min­neso­ta Gov. Tim Walz on the Democ­rats’ pres­i­den­tial tick­et.
“Kamala Har­ris has picked an out­stand­ing run­ning mate in Gov­er­nor Tim Walz,” Coop­er said in a state­ment post­ed to social media. “Gov­er­nors like him know what it takes to get the job done, and he will be an out­stand­ing vice pres­i­dent, dou­bling down on his work to sup­port mid­dle class fam­i­lies, pro­tect repro­duc­tive free­dom, and safe­guard our democ­ra­cy.”
