Ahead of Tuesday’s Demo­c­ra­t­ic con­gres­sion­al pri­ma­ry, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D‑MN) decid­ed to fight for her right to par­ty.

The incum­bent “Squad” mem­ber, who faces her sec­ond chal­lenge from for­mer Min­neapo­lis City Coun­cil mem­ber Don Samuels, post­ed a video to her X account on Thurs­day singing the Beast­ie Boys’ clas­sic song at a Min­neapo­lis bar, with a cam­paign mes­sage attached.“Fighting for the right to par­ty,” Omar wrote in a post accom­pa­ny­ing the video. “Fight­ing for the right to bod­i­ly auton­o­my. Fight­ing for the right to a liv­able plan­et. Fight­ing for the right to uni­ver­sal health­care.”
