Joe Scar­bor­ough says Repub­li­cans ‘chose their fate’ nom­i­nat­ing Trump over Haley

MSNBC’s Morn­ing Joe co-host Joe Scar­bor­ough con­tend­ed that Repub­li­cans “chose their fate” by nom­i­nat­ing for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump over anoth­er can­di­date, won­der­ing when the par­ty would focus on “win­ning elec­tions again.”
The 2024 pres­i­den­tial elec­tion has seen a major shake­up over the last few weeks after Pres­i­dent Joe Biden bowed out of his reelec­tion bid and endorsed Vice Pres­i­dent Kamala Har­ris, with Har­ris see­ing a spark in sup­port against Trump in polling data. Scar­bor­ough ref­er­enced com­ments from the Wash­ing­ton Examiner’s Tim Car­ney on the 2024 elec­tion, in which he con­tend­ed Trump made “a dumb mis­take” when he said on Truth Social that Har­ris used arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence to show a crowd wait­ing for her when her plane land­ed.
