Hol­ly­wood star Can­dice Bergen got polit­i­cal at the 76th Prime­time Emmy Awards when she took a swipe at Repub­li­can Vice Pres­i­dent can­di­date J.D. Vance.
On Sun­day dur­ing the ABC broad­cast at the Pea­cock The­ater in Los Ange­les, the 78-year-old actress recalled play­ing news anchor “Mur­phy Brown” on the pop­u­lar show and a moment dur­ing her career when her char­ac­ter became preg­nant but was unmar­ried.
