House GOP seeks to block federal funding for states that give housing assistance to illegal immigrants

EXCLUSIVE — States could be blocked from pro­vid­ing sub­si­dies to state or local gov­ern­ments that give hous­ing assis­tance and oth­er resources to ille­gal immi­grants under a new bill being intro­duced on Tues­day. 
Rep. Andy Big­gs (R‑AZ) is set to intro­duce the Keep­ing Aid for Munic­i­pal­i­ties and Local­i­ties Account­able, also known as the KAMALA Act, as a way to block the fed­er­al gov­ern­ment from pro­vid­ing resources to states that pro­vide finan­cial assis­tance to ille­gal immi­grants seek­ing hous­ing.
