Morn­ing Joe: ‘Don’t Know What’s In the Mind’ of the Sus­pect.… ‘Inco­her­ent Ide­ol­o­gy’

Yes­ter­day, we caught CNN’s Kasie Hunt claim­ing that “we may nev­er know” the motive of the sus­pect in the sec­ond assas­si­na­tion attempt on Don­ald Trump.
Today, it was MSNBC’s turn. On Morn­ing Joe, Jonathan Lemire joined the cho­rus of lib­er­al media mem­bers pro­fess­ing igno­rance as to Routh’s motives.

“Now, of course, we don’t know what’s in the mind of this sus­pect­ed sus­pect arrest­ed in Flori­da, nor do we know what hap­pened with the indi­vid­ual who tried to — who shot at for­mer Pres­i­dent trump in Penn­syl­va­nia back in July. There’s sort of inco­her­ent ide­olo­gies for both.”

There’s noth­ing inco­her­ent about Routh’s ide­ol­o­gy or his motives. As we doc­u­ment­ed yes­ter­day, he has used the Democ­rats’ favorite line about “democ­ra­cy on the bal­lot.” Routh is a reg­is­tered Demo­c­rat who has donat­ed 19 times in recent years to Act Blue, the Democ­rats’ main dona­tion out­fit. He has writ­ten of Trump, “I will be glad when you gone.”  That give you a hint, Jonathan?
