Harris tries a new ‘Latina’ accent amid criticisms

Vice President Kamala Harris, who grew up in California and Quebec, has been mocked for her various adaptations of regional accents while on the presidential campaign trail.
On Wednesday, social media users claimed that Harris revealed a new “Latina” accent for the first time while speaking to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Leadership Conference.
“Oh it’s good to see so many friends,” Harris said as she looked at the Washington, D.C., crowd.
An audience member yelled out that they loved her.
“I love you back!” Harris responded with a vocal change that revealed a slight accent.
