Gas prices decrease slight­ly head­ing into the week­end

Gas prices dropped slight­ly on Fri­day, with the nation­al aver­age for a gal­lon of reg­u­lar gas com­ing in at $3.22, accord­ing to AAA. 
On Thurs­day, the aver­age price for a gal­lon of reg­u­lar gas was $3.224. Even with the increase, this is still cheap­er than a week ago, when reg­u­lar gas was $3.23 per gal­lon. A month ago, a gal­lon of reg­u­lar gas cost $3.404. Friday’s decrease in price comes after two straight days of mod­est price jumps.
