Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump said Wednes­day that triple-dig­it tem­per­a­tures won’t short­en his Inde­pen­dence Day address on the Nation­al Mall, jok­ing that he will deliv­er a “real­ly long” speech.“By the way, on July Fourth, it’s going to be approx­i­mate­ly 107 degrees out, and I’m going to go, and I’m going to make a real­ly long speech just to show that I can do any­thing,” Trump said, speak­ing dur­ing cer­e­monies for the open­ing of Theodore Roosevelt’s new pres­i­den­tial library in North Dakota.The nation’s cap­i­tal is prepar­ing for a full day of cel­e­bra­tions Sat­ur­day, com­mem­o­rat­ing the 250th anniver­sary of the sign­ing of the Dec­la­ra­tion of Inde­pen­dence.
