The entertainment company announced Disney+ will stream Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan within the United States beginning Friday, saying, “This is not a drill.”
The 2016 Deadpool anti-hero film, along with its 2018 sequel, details the adventures of foul-mouthed mercenary Wade Wilson. Logan, which premiered in 2017, follows the X-Men hero Wolverine in his effort to defend a young mutant within a post-apocalyptic world.
In response to the announcement, some shared concern over a need to implement password protections for children.
“Oh no… No[t] this again!” a Twitter user said. “Please require passwords to watch R Rated Marvel Movies like they did with TVMA Marvel Shows on Netflix!”
Others suggested parents should “just be a parent.”
Following the announcement, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds joked that Disney classics, including Old Yeller and Bambi, should also be R-rated “for irreversible trauma.”

The timing of the announcement also had some guessing whether Disney would announce a new Deadpool sequel at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con.
