NASCAR driver becomes designated driver, giving drunk fan a safe ride home

NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin is earning praise after giving a drunk fan a ride home.
Kyle Jordan had a little too much to drink at Watkins Glen International in New York last weekend but made it home safely after Hamlin offered to give him a ride.
“Shout out to @dennyhamlin for giving a drunk guy a ride last night at Watkins Glen International,” Jordan tweeted. “It was much appreciated and good luck in today’s race.”

Jordan also shared a photo he took with Hamlin.
The NASCAR driver responded, letting Jordan know he had the fan’s backpack full of beer in his truck and would return it. It is unclear whether the beer made it back to Jordan.
Hamlin’s kind gesture has earned him some new NASCAR fans.
