Pro-Walker super PAC hits Warnock on inflation in new ad
EXCLUSIVE — A political action committee supporting Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker is taking aim at Walker’s Democratic opponent, Sen. Raphael Warnock, over inflation in an ad that is slated to hit the airwaves this week.
The commercial, sponsored by the 34N22 super PAC, features a slew of direct-to-camera testimonials from Georgia residents who are shown in a grocery store voicing concerns about rising prices, with some alleging that Warnock has not done enough to address the problem.
“Inflation has gotten out of control,” says one woman.
“I don’t go see my grandbabies like I used to,” said another, suggesting gas prices have limited her travel.
34N22 recently garnered national attention over its decision to hand out $25 fuel vouchers along with Walker campaign flyers in an effort to garner support for the candidate, a move that sparked sharp pushback from Democrats, who raised concerns over the legality of the move. A source close to the PAC stated that several of the people featured in the ad were recipients of the gas and grocery giveaways.
Walker’s attorneys dismissed questions over the legality of the vouchers, arguing that they were given out “without condition,” the New York Times reported.
The GOP has made inflation and gas prices key issues in their midterm strategy as the party fights to flip control of both chambers, blaming Democratic-led policies for the spike in costs.

“Too many Georgians are suffering because of Raphael Warnock’s disastrous policy decisions that have led to 40-year high inflation and record gas and grocery prices,” said 34N22 spokesman Stephen Lawson.
“Warnock has ignored the pain Georgia’s families are enduring and instead doubled down on his failed agenda by passing another big government bailout full of tax increases and wasteful spending — all while Georgians are left to foot the bill. It’s time to send someone to Washington who will stand up for Georgians, lower costs, stop the wasteful spending and get our economy back on track — and that’s exactly what Herschel Walker will do as our next U.S. Senator.”
Democrats have deflected GOP criticisms and point to the recent fall in gas prices as well as the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, a party-line bill that Republicans have slammed as being counterproductive to lowering inflation, as evidence they are taking action to address the problems.

The race between Warnock and Walker has been heated, with polls showing the candidates in a neck-and-neck battle for the Senate seat; recent surveys show Warnock with a slight edge.
Walker, a Trump-endorsed former NFL running back, has faced a number of controversies since winning the GOP nomination, including falsely claiming to have been an FBI agent and reports that he’s fathered multiple children he initially did not acknowledge earlier in the campaign.
