WATCH: The View hosts slam GOP support of Herschel Walker after abortion claims

The ladies of The View slammed “shameful” remarks from conservative commentator Dana Loesch on her unwavering support for Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker Wednesday, further criticizing both parties for adopting “win at all costs” electoral strategies.
A bombshell Monday report from the Daily Beast alleged that Walker paid for a woman’s abortion in 2009, conflicting with his beliefs on the campaign trail. However, Walker denies the allegations.

“Herschel Walker has denied the allegations in the strongest possible terms that he paid for an abortion,” host Sunny Hostin added as a legal note during the broadcast.
Despite the report, some conservative commentators and GOP strategists have said they will still support Walker. One of them, Loesch, said, “I don’t care if Herschel Walker paid to abort endangered baby eagles. I want control of the Senate,” upon learning of the accusation.
She then denigrated women who get abortions as “skanks,” drawing the ire of The View’s hosts.

“First of all, ma’am, there’s a lot of women who find themselves in the position of having to have an abortion. How dare you call them ‘skanks’?” host Whoopi Goldberg said following the clip.
“If we’re going to have these discussions, please stick to them,” she added, pleading with anti-abortion people to refrain from name-calling.
“It just exposes the moral rot that’s taking over my party,” Republican host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in. “As a pro-life woman, to hear someone else like Dana, who is pro-life, call women who get into situations where they need abortions ‘skanks’ is just shameful, and I will not defend that.”
Regarding Walker, Griffin said the “hypocrisy there is very, very clear.”
His actions are “not pro-life to me,” she added.
“I do worry that both sides are kind of getting into this area where it’s win at all costs,” Griffin continued.
Democrats are “playing with fire” by supporting election deniers, host Sara Haines agreed, as the ladies also discussed former press secretary Jen Psaki’s justification of the controversial electoral strategy.

“What do Republicans stand for?” asked Hostin. “What the hell was that that we just saw?” she further asked of Loesch’s comments.
