The Biden administration enraged all but the most radically left-wing corners of the internet on Saturday when it issued a proclamation by the 46th president declaring Easter Sunday “Transgender Day of Visibility.” Republican leaders rightly slammed him. “Banning sacred truth and tradition — while at the same time proclaiming Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day’ — is outrageous and abhorrent. The American people are taking note,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R‑LA) said.
The White House’s corporate media-led offensive line couldn’t wait to point out that Trans Day of Visibility has been celebrated since 2009. Still, anyone with an elementary understanding of how politics works understands that a normal administration would have perhaps moved its celebration away from the holiest day in the Christian calendar. However, the Biden White House is anything but normal.
