Sen. Tim Scott (R‑SC) argued that the recent verdict against former President Donald Trump has united the Republican Party, with even those originally opposed to a second Trump presidency now in support of the former president.
Trump was found guilty of all 34 counts in his hush money trial in Manhattan on Thursday, making him the first former United States president to be convicted of a felony crime. Many have argued that this verdict could boost support for the former president in the presidential election.
