Vice Pres­i­dent Kamala Har­ris is expect­ed to decide on her run­ning mate with­in the next 24 hours and release a video announce­ment on Tues­day, sources famil­iar with the process told POLITICO.
The out­let report­ed that Har­ris inter­viewed Penn­syl­va­nia Gov. Josh Shapiro, Ari­zona Sen. Mark Kel­ly, and Min­neso­ta Gov. Tim Walz at the vice president’s Wash­ing­ton res­i­dence on Sun­day. Those three con­tenders are wide­ly viewed as the lead­ing can­di­dates to be select­ed as Har­ris’ run­ning mate, but oth­er Democ­rats, includ­ing Sec­re­tary of Trans­porta­tion Pete Buttigieg, Ken­tucky Gov.
