Fani Willis brushes off efforts to slow down case against Trump: ‘The train is coming’

Ful­ton Coun­ty Dis­trict Attor­ney Fani Willis said Sat­ur­day that her case against for­mer Pres­i­dent Don­ald Trump has not been delayed despite the dis­trac­tion caused by her roman­tic rela­tion­ship with the spe­cial pros­e­cu­tor she hired to work on the case.
Willis made a pub­lic appear­ance at an East­er egg hunt in Col­lege Park, Geor­gia, where she spoke to CNN about her rep­u­ta­tion fol­low­ing the hear­ings to deter­mine whether she would be allowed to remain on the case. Ear­li­er this year, it was revealed that she had a “per­son­al rela­tion­ship” with spe­cial pros­e­cu­tor Nathan Wade, who has since resigned from the case to allow Willis to con­tin­ue work­ing on it.
